Name God

Here is a new painting that takes the blade wing motif to its natural end. It is 48″ tall and will be in the Radio Wine show on the 11th. Like all the paintings in the Radio Wine series, subtitled Paintings about Language, this painting is about where meaning meets letters meets calligraphy and image. Called “Name God,” I imagine a highly stylized illumination where an abstract thought points to divinity as a word itself for God, or whatever force you need to fill in the void. Islam, of course has an ancient tradition of thinking and making this way.
